From the recording Little Black Sheep
After visiting Salem, ECHASL was haunted by its bloody witch trial history.
In SHHH, she resurrects the horrors faced by over 100,000 European women condemned as witches between 1484 and 1775.
With a background in classical music, she builds a dark medieval atmosphere through Gregorian chants, complex vocal harmonies, and the Rubab, evoking the forgotten voices of the condemned.
Despite the title, SHHH is not about silence—it’s a cry of awakening.
The chants were recorded with a British choir to honor that haunted legacy.
