From the recording Little Black Sheep
“Zhāo Dì” (招娣), a name given with the hope for a male heir, ties women to family but rarely to themselves. In patriarchal homes, daughters are sidelined—raised to carry the family name, not their own dreams.
Through wit and irony, ECHASL tells this story. Blending huagu opera with electronica, she paints a surreal yet painfully real picture of this absurdity.
